Executive Team

Dr. Kelley is a board certified general and vascular surgeon with over 15 years of industry experience in pre-clinical through commercialization for complex devices, biologics and drugs, past CMO at multiple biotechs including Histogenics and X4 and multinational Servier Pharmaceuticals.  

Dr. Kelley has an MD from Dartmouth, trained at Dartmouth and Harvard, NIH research grant awardee and Marco Polo international fellow, former faculty Yale. 

Dr. Bearss is a serial biotech entrepreneur, 20 years in both academic and industry setting. Expert in small molecule drug development and in the use of genetic model systems in drug discovery. He has discovered 15 compounds that have INDs filed and moved forward in clinical development and has been the founder of 5 companies, multiple exits. 

He was the founding Co-Director of the Center for Investigational Therapeutics at the Huntsman Cancer Institute as well as an Associate Professor in the Department of Oncological Sciences at the University of Utah and Associate Professor of Physiology & Developmental Biology at Brigham Young University. 

As VP of three very important areas, Sherry's desirable mix of experience and knowledge acquired over the past 25 years in various sectors of the pharma and clinical trial world makes her a perfect fit.  

At Xenthera, Sherry will be responsible for building the foundation of the quality, clinical operations and program management areas utilizing her crazy mix of experience and knowledge. This foundation will be regulatory compliant, lean, efficient, cost-conscious, and most importantly completely dedicated to the safety of the subjects who chose to join our trials.
